Jesus Gorgonio Villarreal, age 82, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024 surrounded by his loving family in Alice Texas. He was married to the love of his life “Gloria Villarreal” for 61 years. Jesus accepted Christ and was Baptized at First Mexican Baptist Church. He was an active member of the First Mexican Baptist church now known as the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Alice Tx. As the director of the Children’s Ministry, he brought to life and told bible stories that helped children make a connection with Jesus. He was a devoted husband and caring father who raised his children to love and serve the Lord. Jesus worked for over 40 years at Farmers Exchange and Alice Feeders Supply in Alice Texas. He was a plantsman, an enthusiastic and knowledgeable gardener. He had a “Bright Green Thumb”. He loved growing his vegetables and shared them with family and friends. He was so proud of his beautiful flowers and plants that surrounded his home. Often you would hear him sharing his tips on how to care for plants so they could grow as healthy as his plants did. Jesus was a “jack of all trades”, he was a musician, plumber, carpenter, electrician, you name it, and he could fix it! He was a strong man with a loving heart.
