Rene Rangel

​San Diego, Texas – Rene S. Rangel 85 years old passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, after a short illness.  He retired from Factory Outlet after 30 years of service with the company.  He was a devoted farmer, and rancher, loved to hunt, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Houston Astros fan.  Rene is preceded in death by his parents Candelario Rangel and Alicia Salinas.  He is survived by his caregiver of 19 years Elsa (Dino) Barrera and cousin Raquel Salinas.  Visitation will begin on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.  with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home -San Diego. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery.  Mauro P.
