Diana Briones

Diana Briones, 68 years old passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, in an Alice hospital, surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. Diana was a devoted housewife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend who would be sadly missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, talking daily to her sisters, and especially spending time with all her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago J. and Matilde O. Briones, her husband, Raul "Rule" Garza, baby Jacob Garcia, sister, Gregoria Briones and two brothers, Santiago Briones Jr., and Manuel Briones, Sr.

She is survived by her three sons; Javier (Latrice) Garcia, Samuel " Sammy" Garcia Jr., and Louis (Tyra) Rogers, two daughters; Jessica Pena and Diana (Ruben) Lara, one brother; Shane (Carmen) Briones, two sisters; Tina (Tony) Trevino, and Marcy Briones, three grandkids that she raised, Ashley (Jeffry) Salazar, Jasmine (Orlando) Ruvalcaba, and Rebecca Garza, fifteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 9 a.m.-10 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in San Diego with a Prayer Service to be conducted at 10 a.m. followed by Funeral Service that same morning. Burial will be at the San Diego Cemetery #2, San Diego, Texas.
Active Pallbearers will be Orlando Ruvalcaba, Jeffry Salazar, Tony Trevino, Jadon Rodriguez, Sammy Garcia, Landon Mendoza, and Lee Roy Adams.
