Tomas C. Gonzalez

​Alice, Texas: Tomas C. Gonzalez, 81 years of age gained his wings on September 24, 2021 after a short illness. Tomas was a man with a big heart always helping family, friends and neighbors with many jobs. He was also a farmer his whole life and enjoyed music, dancing and loved his children and grandchildren unconditionally. Tomas enjoyed his luck at gambling as well as Lottery Tickets and playing the maquinitas or taking a drive to Eagle Pass to the Kickapoo Casino. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fabian and Aurora Gonzalez, his wife Yolanda C. Gonzalez.  Survivors include: Sons Tomas Gonzalez Jr, Martin Gonzalez, two daughters, Elva Cavazos and Monica Perez, two step-daughters, Marissa Rios and Maribel Gonzalez, two brothers, Ricardo Gonzales and Adolfo Gonzalez, three sisters, Thelma Ozuna, Maria Rodriguez, Lydia Lopez, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.  Active Pallbearers: Tomas Gonzalez III, Israel Gonzalez, Rene Vela, Nero Martinez, Fabian Gonzalez and Israel Hernandez.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in Alice. Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am that same morning at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church followed by the Holy Mass.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Alice, Texas.
