Severiano Z. Salinas

​San Diego, Texas - Severiano Z. Salinas. 94 years old passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, in a Nursing Home in Rockport after a short illness. He was born and raised in San Diego and later moved to Corpus Christi. He was a retired farmer in the Nueces County area for many years. Severiano enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will sadly be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Salinas, and mother, Lazara Pruenda Salinas, and adopted son; Mark A. Salinas, three brothers; Alejandro Salinas, Servando Salinas, and Oscar Salinas, and two sisters; Juanita Gonzalez, and Maria Longoria. He is survived by one daughter; Adelita (Daniel) Rowland, and one adopted daughter; Mary E. Salinas, one brother; Reynaldo Salinas, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.

Visitations will begin on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in San Diego from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, September 30, 2023, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Pena Cemetery at La Rosita Community.
