San Diego, Tx – Servando “Weddy” Garcia 66 years of age passed away on Wednesday June 28, 2023, after a sudden illness. Weddy spent his life working hard in the oilfield to provide for his loved family. He always had funny stories to share and that gave him an incredible ability to make friends with anyone. He had a wonderful ability to make anyone laugh and share his wonderful smile. He enjoyed watching old John Wayne country-western movies, cooking a wonderful breakfast for his kids on a Saturday morning with random ingredients, and having a beer with his friends and family. He loved working with his hands and enjoyed spending time outdoors fiddling with everything. Weddy worked hard to help anyone in need in whatever way he could, including giving his humble shirt off his back. Servando often stated his children were what he was the proudest of in his life, and he demonstrated an unconditional love to them. Weddy thanks everyone who was a part of his life for a moment, for a period, or for his lifetime.
He is proceeded in death by his biological parents Jose A. Lazo and Aurora Garcia, adopted parents Tomas Garcia and Luisa Salaiz, one sister; Diana Lazo, and four brothers; Thomas (Veco) Garcia, Jesus Garcia, Ruben Hernandez, and Amador Lazo. He is survived by his wife Rosanna Garcia, one son: Tomas G. Garcia, mother of his children Thelma Trevino Perez, daughters; Jo Ann (J.W.) Todd, Debra (Michael) Saenz, and son; Servando Jr (Tripp) Spivey, nine sisters; Gloria L. Garcia, Amadita (Ignacio) Luera, Aida Hernandez, Edna (Chon) Gonzalez, Cynthia (Catarino) Rodriguez, Frances (Leo) Adams, Lydia Guerra, Eva Banda, and Ana Vidal, five brothers; Hector Lazo, Jose (Leticia) Lazo, Arturo (Anna) Lazo, Alonzo (Rosie) Resendez, Roel (Lena) Resendez, three grandchildren; Cheston (Elizabeth) Todd, Anissa (A.J.) Barrera, and Brenna (Leslie) Todd, three great-grandchildren, and many numerous nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held on Saturday July 01, 2023, from 9am – 10am at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home chapel – San Diego, Tx. All services will conclude at that time. On behalf of the family, they would like no pictures to be taken. Mauro P.
