Santos Benavides

​​San Diego, Texas - Santos M. Benavides, 87 years old passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, in an Alice Nursing Home after a short illness. She was a parishioner of Monte Horeb Church now named San Diego Family Worship Center. Her hobbies were spending time with family and loved ones. She loved being outside in her yard. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Gregoria Martinez Mendiola,  husband, Santos Benavides, Jr., son, Tomas Benavides, daughter-in-law, Suzanne B. Benavides, her four sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by her grandson, Thomas W. Benavides, and granddaughter, Tiffanny Benavides, three great-grandchildren, Michael Buentello, III,  Brittany A. Buentello, Matthew N. Benavides, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in San Diego with a Prayer Service at 10 a.m. followed by burial at the San Diego Cemetery in San Diego, Texas. Active Pallbearers will be, T.J., David, Jr., Mikey, Matthew, and Juan. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes, Inc. is entrusted with arrangements.
