Rosabel R. Perez, age 88, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2023, in Corpus Christi, TX, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 24, 1934, in Realitos, TX, to Tomas and Angelina Ramirez. Rosabel graduated from Benavides High School in 1952, where she was the FFA. Sweetheart. She helped her husband, Leo G. Perez, start two pharmacies in Kingsville, TX. Rosabel also loved co-managing the family ranch. She enjoyed cooking traditional Tex/Mex meals, traveling, and gardening. While living in Kingsville, she was an active member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church for over 50 years. Rosabel was a lector and Eucharistic minister, a member of the Catholic Daughters, Sembradores de Amistad, and Knights of Columbus Ladies. She will be remembered as a proud, loving mother of six children, of her kind heart, beautiful Smile, great cooking, and strong resilience to life’s events. Rosabel was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Leo, and sisters, Odelia Moreno and Umbelina Ramirez, and her parents. She is survived by her children: Anabel (Fidel, Jr) Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; Rev Leo Perez, OMI of Washington D.C.; Margot (Mark) Dehan of Corpus Christi, Tx; Joseph (Martin) Perez of NY,NY Rose of SF Bay area, CA; and Richard (Sandi) Perez of Arlington, TX.; siblings: Graciela (Al deceased 
) Gonzalez of Kingsville / Houston, TX; Tomas Mario (Hilda) Ramirez of Hebbronville, TX; Angelina (Cesar) Cisneros of Brownsville TX; Rene (Elva) Ramirez of Bishop, TX., brother-in-law Noe Moreno of Mesquite, TX; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitations will begin Monday, February 20, 2023, from 8am – 9:30am at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in San Diego, with a Rosary to be recited at 10 am at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church followed by a Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at San Diego Cemetery #2. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Oblate Missions in the care of Fr. Leo Perez, 3211 4th St. N.E., Washington, D.C. 20017-1194.

Rosabel and Leo were lovely and kind .
I had the good fortune to apprentice at the pharmacy
One summer. Also,Rosabel was related to me on the Ramirez side. My deepest condolences.
