Roel Guzman

Benavides, Texas - Roel Guzman - 65 years old passed away Friday January 12, 2018 in a Corpus Christi hospital after a long illness. He was a volunteer  for the Benavides Fire Department and for the Benavides ambulance service for many years. He was a member of the Benavides Real and he was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents Hermenjildo Guzman and Elida Dimas Guzman. He is survived by his five brothers Robert (Nico) Guzman of San Antonio, Texas, Juan F. (Diana) Guzman and Oscar Guzman both of Corpus Christi, Texas, Noe (Janie) Guzman and Arturo Guzman both of Benavides, Texas, two sisters Gloria (Emede) Carrillo of Corpus Christi, Texas and Yolanda (Richard) Vera of Texas City, Texas. numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas located at 1016 E. Gravis, San Diego, Texas 78384 with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 18, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Benavides, Texas.
