Orange Grove- Regino P Flores (78) passed away Wednesday April 19th, 2023, in a nursing home in Alice Texas (Meridian Care) with his loving wife of 30 years Janie Flores by his side. Regino was a loving Father, Husband, Brother, Uncle, and Grandfather. Regino’s Love for the Dallas Cowboys was second to none. He rarely missed watching games and was always proud to wear his team’s colors. Additionally, he loved to play slot machines and was known to be very lucky and win big jackpots. Regino was a proud employee of American National and Woodmen of the World insurance companies and finished off his career managing the nutrition department at Mi Familia Adult Day Care. He loved to spend time and have conversations with his previous clients, whom he also considered as his good friends. Regino truly cherished his personal relationships and making people feel great made him feel great as well. Regino’s sense of humor was notorious amongst family and friends. He would try to make people laugh and always had a joke or a witty remark to lighten up the atmosphere. Regino was genuinely happy when he saw others were comfortable around him and having a good time. He was predeceased by his late wife Sofia Morales Flores, daughters Belinda Flores Gutierrez and Nora Nunez, parents Elmojenes Flores and Epifania Flores, and his siblings Pedro Flores, Silverio Flores, George Flores, Estefana Flores Arenas, Marcelina Flores, Benita Flores Herrerra, Secundina Flores Camacho, and Bartola Flores Herrera. He is survived by his wife Janie Vasquez Flores of Orange Grove, Texas, Son Daniel Flores (Lupita) of Orange Grove, Texas, Daughter Cynthia Flores Rohrman of Orange Grove, Texas, Son Lupe Nunez Jr. (Tameka) of Garden Ridge, Texas and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Regino led a fulfilling and meaningful life. He will be deeply missed but his legacy will continue to uplift everyone he interacted with. Pallbearers: Shea Gutierrez, Trey Gutierrez, Domingo Camacho, Larissa Flores, Justin Rohrman, Alberto Herrera Jr Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 222, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Tx., Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, in Orange Grove and Burial will follow at the Orange Grove Union Cemetery.
