Raul Armando "El Popeye" Morin

​San Diego, Texas - Raul Armando "El Popeye" Morin, 67 years old passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, in a Corpus Christi Hospital. He was a 1973 Graduate of San Diego High School and a Vietnam Army Veteran.  He worked in the oilfield Industry for many years. Raul enjoyed spending time with his family and six granddaughters. Gardening, music, dancing, barbecuing were his hobbies. He was also an Avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He is preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe and Clara Garcia Morin, sisters Diana Morin and Esmeralda Gonzalez, brother Lino Morin, father-in-law Victor Rangel. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Esmeralda R. Morin, son Raul A. Morin, Jr., daughters Rebecca Morin and Raquel (Eric) Taylor, mother in law Maria Rangel, brothers Guadalupe (Esmeralda) Morin, Noe (Maria Lydia) Morin, Orlando (Belia) Morin, Abel Morin, Hector (Donna) Morin, sisters Zulema (Juan) Infante, Leticia (Corando) Munoz, granddaughters Isabel Cardenas, Layla Cardenas, Aniya Taylor, Erica Taylor, Ghia Taylor, Malayah Morin, and numerous nieces and nephews and his pet dog "Rusty".

Pallbearers will be, Raul Morin Jr., Corando Munoz, Javier Morin, Juan Infante, Pablo Rangel, and Victor Rangel Jr.
 
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 9 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home - San Diego. Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Followed by the Burial at 12 p.m. at the San Diego Cemetery #2. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes Inc. entrusted with the arrangements. We ask that everyone social distance and wear a mask at the funeral home and Cemetery. Military gravesite honors by the United Veterans Burial Association of Alice.
