San Diego, Texas - Ramiro R. Gonzalez III passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 after a long illness. He was a man of all trades and enjoyed barbecuing with his family and listening to the oldies. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle and cousin. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father Ramiro Y. Gonzalez, Jr., one son Ramiro R. "Baby Ray" Gonzalez IV, one daughter Marisela Gonzalez, two sisters Ana Maria Gonzalez and Rosario D. Gonzalez, two brothers Ricky R. Gonzalez and Hilario R. Gonzalez, his paternal grandmother Hilaria Gonzalez and paternal grandfather Ramiro Y. Gonzalez, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 33 years of marriage Sara R. Gonzalez of San Diego, Texas, three sons Andrew (Christian) Gonzalez of Edinburg, Texas, Alonzo R. Gonzalez and Ricky A. (Justina Lazo) Gonzalez both of San Diego, Texas, three daughters Sara Marie (Federico) Gonzalez, Marisela Ann (Mando Camarillo) Gonzalez and Faith Leann Gonzalez all of San Diego, Texas, His mother Maria Ramos Gonzalez of Alice, Texas, his mother-in-law Baudelia Longoria and his father-in-law Luis Rodriguez both of San Diego, Texas, paternal-great-grandfather Eliseo Ramos, Sr. of Yoakum, Texas, two sisters Anna Marie Garcia of Alice, Texas and Frances Mireles of Bishop, Texas, one brother Alonzo R. Gonzalez of Alice, Texas, nine grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Monday October 22, 2018 at 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home - San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday October 23, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery #2 in San Diego, Texas.
