Rafael G. Salinas

San Diego, Texas  Rafael G. Salinas passed away Wednesday,  October 11, 2017 after a long illness. He was a retired construction worker and commercial truck driver all of his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rafael and Manuela G. Salinas, his wife Aida C. Salinas, brothers Ricardo, Reymundo, Rogelio, Arnoldo and Mario Salinas, sister Martina S. Cantu, sons in law Rudy Ibanez and Rudy Munoz. He is survived by his sons Ricardo (Celia) Salinas of Kingsville, Rolando (Tomasita) Salinas and Leonel Salinas both of San Diego, his daughters Imelda (Mario) Rodriguez, Sylvia Salinas, Nora Munoz, Sandra (Nicho) Arredondo all of San Diego, Aida (Ben) Garza of Alice, brothers, Servando  (Josefa) Salinas of San Diego, Juan Carlos (Otilia) Salinas of Alice, sisters, Leocadia Morgan of Orange Grove, Delia Salinas and Corina Salinas both of San Diego, 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5pm - 9pm at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church and burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery No.2  Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes entrusted with the arrangements.
