Petra Anguiano Hernandez, 86 years old,  a long time resident of Blue Island, Illinois, died Sunday, February 24, 2019 at home.  Petra was born in 1932 in Alice, Texas. Petra was a nurse and a housewife.
      Petra was the child of late Agustin and Petra Anguiano. She was also a loving sister to her late brothers and sisters Edwardo Anguiano (Rebecca), Antonio Anguiano (Maria), Celestino Anguiano (Maria), Jose Anguiano, Roberto Anguiano (Angelina), Agustin Anguiano (Fela), Maria Mendoza (Andres), Ricardo Anguiano, Eva Bowen (Clyde).
      She is survived by her daughter, Penny Gonzalez (Andrew) and her sons Peter Hernandez, Paul Hernandez, and Perry Hernandez.  She had three grandchildren Jennifer Gonzalez, Alyssa Gonzalez, and Taylor Gonzalez. Petra was a loving sister to Maria Barrientez (Jesse Barrientez). Petra was a loving mother, wife, sister, and grandmother to those around her. She was a religious woman with only kindness to spread amongst others. She will be 
greatly missed by her loved ones.   Visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 4-9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home is San Diego, Texas with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that same evening.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas.
