Oralia C. Garza

​Freer- Oralia C. Garza, 77 years of age entered eternal rest on Monday, October 4, 2021, in a Corpus hospital surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. She was a homemaker. Oralia enjoyed knitting, gardening, loved taking care of her little birds, spending time with her family, and mostly cooking for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Maria De La Luz Hernandez Cruz, her husband Santos Garza and seven siblings. She is survived by her son Jorge (Roxanne) Mireles and daughter Lucy (David) Garcia, two brothers Guadalupe Cruz and Manuel (Higinia) Cruz and sister Angelica Cruz, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.
 
Visitation will begin on Friday October 8, 2021, at 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church followed by a Funeral Mass and burial at the San Diego Cemetery.
 
Active Pallbearers:  Abel A. Garcia, Ryan A. Garcia, Claudio Trevino, Jason Trevino, Gilbert Sanchez Jr., and John Santos.
 
The Garza family has asked to please respect their decision as Oralia's services will be PRIVATE.
 
The family would like to thank her nurse Lorina Mendoza of 10 years for always being there for her.
