Melinda Trejo Gonzalez

Alice, Texas - Melinda Trejo Gonzalez, 47 years old passed away, Thursday, March 10, 2022, after a short illness. She was a housewife, who loved mariachi music, and enjoyed singing and being the entertainment of the party. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan. Her grandchildren and family were her life. 

She is Preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Virginia (Luis) Cortez Gonzalez, paternal grandparents, Aurelio Trejo Sr. and Celia Trejo. She is survived by her husband, Roman Gonzalez III, three daughters, Noreen Lee Trejo, Kathleen Lee Infante, Freya Gonzalez, her mother, Virginia "Ginny" (Ralph) Zepeda, father Aurelio Trejo Jr., brother, Aurelio Trejo III, mother-in-law Noemi (David) Silva, father-in-law Ramon Gonzalez Jr., husband's grandmother, Emma Jones, two grandchildren Brody Trejo, Daphne Bueno, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home of Alice, with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. that same morning. Burial will follow at the New Collins Cemetery. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes Inc. entrusted with the arrangements. 

Pallbearers will be Ralph Zepeda, Aurelio Trejo III, Ryan Trejo, Richard Bueno, Enrique Cortez Jr., Linda Ann Alvarez, Gabriel Cortez, George Cortez Jr., and Billy Trejo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Enrique Cortez, Angel Cortez, and George Cortez, Lionel Cortez, and Arturo Cortez.

Due to Covid-19 Pandemic we ask that you wear a mask at the Funeral Home, Church and at the Cemetery.
