Matias J. Rosales

Alice, Tx - Matias J. Rosales 78 years of age passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, after a short illness. Matias was a Structural Inspector for Western Steel Company, was also a foreman for Perry Fabrications of Corpus Christi, and a steel layout supervisor for Derreck Manufacturing Company of Alice. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army and served in the Texas National Guard from 1962-1965. He is preceded in death by his parents Theodor Rosales and Eulalia Silva, and his wife Maria Alicia Rosales. Survivors include his special friend Cecilia Casarez, one son, Guadalupe Matias (Monica Rosales), three daughters, Irma Linda Elizondo, Mona Lisa (Roel) Garcia Rosales, and Kimberly Ann (Guadalupe Rodriguez) Rosales, four brothers, Roberto Silva, Luis (Cole) Silva, Rodolfo (Evangelina) Silva, and Alfonso (Guadalupe) Silva, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited @ 10:00 a.m.
at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel - San Diego, Tx. Military Services will be conducted right after the rosary by The United Veterans Burial Association at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home. All services will be concluded after Military Services.
