Maria Rangel

San Diego, Texas - Maria Rangel, 81 years old passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family in a San Diego Nursing Home. Maria was a retired custodian for the 1st State Bank of San Diego for many years and a mail clerk for other banks for over 18 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernaldino Cruz and Margarita Charles Cruz, her husband Victor Rangel Sr., and her son -in- law Raul A. Morin.

She is survived by her two sons, Victor Rangel, Jr., and Pablo (Gladys) Rangel, two daughters Esmeralda Morin, and Lily (Eduardo) Gonzalez, two sisters Audelia (Jesus) Bocanegra, and Amelia Aranda, eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat Lucky.

Active Pallbearers: Victor Rangel Jr., Pablo Rangel, Raul A. Morin Jr., Eduardo Gonzalez, Pablo Rangel Jr., Edward Gonzalez.

​Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary recited at 10:00 a.m. that same morning. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery No.2. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes, Inc. entrusted with the arrangements.
