Maria C. Soto

​Agua Dulce, Texas - Maria C. Soto, 81 years of age earned her angel wings Thursday, December 2, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Maria was a lifelong resident of Agua Dulce. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed the fine art of crafting, dancing, and spending her time with her loving family. She touched many lives not only as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt but as a Foster Parent, A Confidant, A Friend who always had a warm smile and an open door for anyone who came knocking. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents Merced and Pilar Ybarra Castillo, her husband Jesus G. Soto, one son Raul Soto, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son Jesus C. (Belinda) Soto, three daughters Rosa Maria Soto, Maricela (Jorge) Martinez and Diana (Rita) Soto, daughter-in-law Eva Soto, two brothers Erasmo Castillo and Ramiro Castillo, three sisters Tomasita Garcia, Carolina DeLuna and Katherine (David) Villarreal, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 4p.m.- 6p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Texas (located at 600 South Wright Street, Alice, Texas 78332, phone no. 361-664-6041). Funeral Service will be on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Texas. Burial will follow at Banquete Cemetery in Banquete, Texas.
