Maria Antonietta Chapa

​San Diego, Texas:  Maria Antonietta Chapa passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the age of 79. When Maria was a young girl, she worked at her family restaurant in Piedras Negras. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and ranching. She loved spending time with her family, traveling and visiting new places around the world. She was a Homemaker all her life and will be sadly missed by her children, brother, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents Jesus Marin and Maria Cristina Becerril, husband Rosendo R. Chapa and sister Ma. Estela Marin Becerril.  Maria is survived by her sons Jesse (Andreana) Chapa, Rosendo (Evelyn) Chapa, Luis Rene (Annabel) Chapa, Marco (Sylvia) Chapa, daughter Belen Chapa, brother Simon Marin Becerril, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews. Active Pallbearers: Rosendo Chapa, Luis Rene Chapa, Marco Chapa, Uriel Chapa, Abimael Chapa, Matthew Gonzalez, Marco Chapa Jr., Aiden Cadena. Alternate: Jesse Chapa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 5 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery.  Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes are entrusted with the arrangements. Due to Covid-19 pandemic we will follow all CDC and Government guidelines. We ask to please wear a mask and social distance at the Funeral Home, Church and Cemetery.
