Lucia Smithwick

​Alice, Texas - Lucia Smithwick,  75 yrs. old passed away Wednesday May 30, 2018 in Corpus Christi after a long illness. She was a retired seamstress. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents Jacinto and Herminia Silvas Rodriguez, husband Ismael Smithwick, Sr. , one son Israel Smithwick, one brother Santos Rodriguez and one sister Domitila Esquivel. She is survived by her two sons Ismael (Kena) Smithwick of Alice, Texas and Isaac Smithwick of Commerce, Texas, two daughters Eugenia I. (Tony Warren) Smithwick of Commerce, Texas and Irma Smithwick of Alice, Texas, three brothers Roberto (Francis) Rodriguez, Jacinto Rodriguez, Jr. and David Rodriguez all of Alice, Texas, two sisters Consuelo  (Monseis) Serna of Alice, Texas and Guadalupe (Jose Maria) Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas, six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Friday June 1, 2018 at 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in Alice, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday June 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice, Texas. Burial will follow at New Collins Cemetery in Alice, Texas. Mauro P.
