Leocadia A. Pena

​San Diego, Texas - Leocadia A. Pena, 80 years old passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at a Nursing Home in San Diego after a short illness. She was a retired Home Provider for many years. She loved to play chalupa, bingo, go out dancing and camping. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be sadly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents Marin and Sofia V. Pena Alaniz, one son Juan S. Pena, three sisters, two brothers, and one daughter in-law Esperanza "Epi" Soliz. She is survived by her three sons Roberto (Cecilia Casarez) Pena, Alberto Pena, Hector (Anna Lisa) Pena, one daughter Irma Idalia (Pablo Garcia) Trevino, six grandchildren, Thirteen great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitations will begin on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Prayer Service conducted at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego. Burial will follow at Pena Cemetery, La Rosita Community.

Active Pallbearers will be Hector Ruiz, Michael Salaiz, Michael Salaiz jr., Leroy Ramirez, Juan Martinez and Joshua Canales.
