Lena Mae Resendez

​San Diego, Texas: Lena Mae Resendez, 65 years old passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021, in a Corpus Christi hospital after a short illness. Lena was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernesto F. Tiblier and Maria Odilia Soliz Tiblier, and her late husband Hector Gonzalez Sr., one sister Sandra T, Kelsey.  She is survived by her three sons Hector "Sonny" (Thelma) Gonzalez, Roel Resendez Jr., and Roland (Jennifer) Resendez, two daughters Lena Mae Gonzalez and Lynn (Elbert) Martinez, ex-husband Roel Resendez, and one sister Norma (Narciso) Flores, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, August 3,2021 at 4 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego, with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego followed by the Burial at the San Diego Cemetery.  All services will be officiated by Pastor Joe Cervantes.

Serving as active pallbearers, Hector Gonzalez III, Ricky Gonzalez, Elbert Martinez, Matthew Benavidez, Felipe Lozano, Adrian DeLeon, and Adrian DeLeon Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hector Gonzalez Jr., Roel Resendez Jr., Roland Resendez.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we ask that everyone continue to wear a mask and social distance at the funeral home, and cemetery. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
