Juanita Charles Gonzalez

San Diego- Juanita Charles Gonzalez 67 years of age passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 after a sudden illness at her residence.  She was a homemaker.  San Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt and will be sadly missed.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro and Margarita Trevino Charles, common-law-husband, Erasmo Nunez, one sister Luisa Pereida and brother Anastacio Charles.  She is survived by one son, Amador Gonzales, Muskegon, Mich., three daughters, Norma Maldonado, San Diego, Texas, Cynthia Estringel and Jessica (Ruben) Quintana, both of Alice, Texas, one brother, Marcos Charles, San Diego, Texas, one sister, Gloria Charles, Laredo, Texas, 21 grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. the same evening.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery #2. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes, Inc. in charge of arrangements.
