Grand Prairie, TX- Jose Maria Garcia, 71 years old passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at his residence after a long illness. He was a native of San Diego, Tx. and was retired from Dresser Industries after 35 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, great grandfather, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents Bruno, Sr. and Idalia H. Garcia, sister Bernadette Hinojosa. He survived by his wife Mary Lou Garcia of Grand Prairie, TX, three sons Richard Garcia of  San Diego, Tx, Eugene Garcia and Jose Daniel Garcia both of Grand Prairie, Tx, one brother Bruno (Marie) Garcia, Jr. of San Antonio, Tx, sister Gloria Hinojosa of Alice, Tx, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitations will begin on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego. Vigil of the deceased with  a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. that same evening, officiated by his cousin, Fr. P. Nolasco Hinojosa, Jr.. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church officiated by his cousin, Fr. P. Nolasco, Jr.. Burial will follow at San Diego Cemetery in San Diego.  Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes, Inc. entrusted with arrangements.
