Jesus Sanchez, Sr.

​Concepcion, Texas - Jesus Sanchez, Sr., 91 years old passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 in an Alice Nursing Home after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was a retired Duval Co. employee for Precinct # 2 and had also worked at Juan Leal Dairy Farm for 35 years. Jesus enjoyed music and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Maria, and Dionecia De la Garza Sanchez, one son, Jesus Sanchez, Jr. and by all his siblings. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Josefa V. Sanchez, one son, Juan Jose (Velma) Sanchez, two daughters, Norma Linda Sanchez, and Olga Lydia (Ruperto, Sr.) Cadena and one daughter-in-law, Clementina Q. Sanchez, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary to be recited at 1:30 p.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church and a Funeral Mass to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Realitos Cemetery in Realitos, Texas.
