Hector G. Salaiz

​San Diego, Texas - Hector G. Salaiz, 69 years old passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in an Alice hospital. He was a graduate of SDISD Class of 1972. He was a retired Derrickman in the oilfields for many years and a retired rancher. He enjoyed music, hunting, spending time with his family and was an Avid Cowboy fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus S. Salaiz, Sr. and Mercedes Garza Salaiz, two brothers, Ruben G. Salaiz and Jesus S.Salaiz, Jr., one niece, Aimee L. De Hoyes and two nephews, Devin M. Castillo and Kelvin King. He is survived by the mother of his children, Elena G. Salaiz, four sons, Hector G. Salaiz, Jr, Oscar Ruben (Erica) Salaiz, Mario Andres (Ashley) Salaiz and Jesus Daniel Salaiz, two sisters, Celina S. (Amado R.) Trevino and Olga S. (Oscar, Jr.) Garza, five grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews. Visitations will begin on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 8 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in San Diego. Rosary will be recited on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego followed by Funeral Mass and burial at the San Diego Cemetery in San Diego, Texas.
