Agua Dulce, Texas - Guadalupe Padilla was 94 years of age when she peacefully left this world to reunite with her husband in heaven. Guadalupe was born in Laredo, Texas on February 27, 1927. She was raised in Agua Dulce, Texas where she became a homemaker to her beloved husband, Francisco Padilla and her 7 beautiful children. She enjoyed making tamales, being outside tending to her roses in the garden, and spending time with her fur baby “Chiquita”. Nothing brought her more joy than seeing her family come together as one. Guadalupe will mostly be remembered for being a God-fearing woman and her strong faith in prayer. Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Guadalupe Martinez, husband Francisco Padilla, her two sons Raul & Jesus Padilla, one grandson Tony Ray Padilla, two sisters Flora Pacheco and Esperanza Burton and her brother Joe Martinez. Guadalupe is survived by her three sons Frank Padilla Jr, Rene & Melinda Padilla, and Jesse & Linlee Carabajal; her four daughters Janie Carabajal, Carmen & Joe Carabajal, Linda & Frank Carabajal, and Olga Padilla. She is also survived by her two sisters Paula Glass of Lufkin, Texas and Olivia Martinez of Houston, Texas: one brother Jesus Martinez of Alice, Texas. Guadalupe leaves behind 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as Active pallbearers Joe Henry Carabajal Jr., Frank Carabajal Jr., Rene Padilla, Juan Rivera III, Rey Trejo Jr., and Eric Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Carabajal and Ronnie Padilla. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in Alice with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. Frances De Rome Catholic Church. Burial will follow at New Collins Cemetery. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes, inc. entrusted with the arrangements.
