![]() San Diego, Texas: 1SG Francisco L. Aleman Jr. 74 years of age passed away on January 22, 2019 after a long illness surrounded by his family. Uncle Frank as we all knew him was a graduate of San Diego High School Class of 1963. He served in the United States Army from May 31, 1963 through May 31, 1990. He served his country with integrity, valor, pride, dignity and patriotism to his flag for 27 years. After his retirement he worked for the United States Post Office in Alice, Texas as a Rural Route Mail Carrier for 15 years. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco L. and Berta R. Aleman, his step father Vicente Cadena, his sisters Matilde Barrera and Anita Gaitan. Frank is survived by his wife of 55 years Maria E. "Kena" Aleman, two daughters Michelle Aleman (David Trigo), Alicia A. Garcia (Fabian Fabela), brother Luis R. (Mary J.) Aleman, sister Maria Teresa Briones, one brother in law Daniel P. "Tarique" Gaitan, grandchildren Dayna Marie (Robert C.) White, Alex J. Garcia (Jessie Sanchez), Francisco R. Aleman, Leyna M. Fabela, great-grandchildren Alivia White, Dylan J. White, Michael L. White, Andres J. Garcia, Two Special Family caregivers Cynthia Munoz and Clara Solis., and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Procession will depart from Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. directly to the San Diego Cemetery No.2 for burial. Military Graveside Services will be conducted by the United Veterans Burial Association of Alice, Texas. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes entrusted with the arrangements.
