San Diego, Texas ~ Felipe "Pipo" Hinojosa Casso, 87 years old passed Sunday, July 10, 2022, in a San Diego Nursing Home after a short illness. He was a native of San Diego living with his wife, now deceased, and his stepdaughter. Pipo was the "best fence builder in Duval County". He enjoyed scratch-off tickets and meeting up with his friends for coffee at Jerry’s Diner. The love of his life was his fur baby "Foxee". He was a loving husband, stepdad, step-grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Jesusa Hinojosa Casso, his wife, Olivia Rosas, step-son, Hilario Rosas, and two sisters, Maria C. Hiten and Marina Dimas. Survivors include his step-daughter, Dolores Rosas, step-granddaughter, Noralee Rosas. step-sons, Homero Rosas and Gilberto Rosas, nieces and nephews, Christine Nash, Elizabeth (Fernando) Villegas, Magdalena (Clifford) Kuykendall, Israel (Anna) Segura, Rogelio (Maria) Dimas, and Ines Marina (Johnny) Ostigin. Pipo also had two nieces that cared for him at La Paloma Nursing Home Palmira Dimas and Lupita Gonzalez. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 6, 2022, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in San Diego with a Memorial Rosary to be recited at 5 p.m. that same evening. All services will conclude that evening. Mauro P.
