Ernestina R. Garcia

Alice, Texas - Ernestina R. Garcia, 90 years old passed away February 1, 2018 at her residence. She was a  homemaker and a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents Ramon Ramirez and Luz M. Ramirez, her husband Manuel Garcia, Sr., one granddaughter Veronica "Ronnie" Garcia and all her brothers and sister. She is survived by her son Manuel Garcia, Jr. of Alice, Texas, two daughters Dalia (Richard) Chapa of Texas City, Texas and Juanita "Janie" (Eloy) Chapa of Alice, Texas, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Monday February 5, 2018 at 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in Alice with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday February 6, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at New Collins Cemetery in Alice. Mauro P.
