Enrique G. "Henry" Pena

Benavides, Texas - Enrique G. "Henry" Pena, 65 years old passed away Thursday February 22, 2018 in a Corpus Christi hospital after a short illness. He was a graduate of Benavides High School, an Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Era, was a former oilfield worker and was a loving son, father, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus G. Pena and Isabel G. Pena. He is survived by his son Enrique Thomas Pena of Benavides, Texas, one sister Mary Margaret (Thomas) Pettus of Dickinson, Texas, four brothers Jesus Pena, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas, Ruben (Dora) Pena of Green Acres, Texas, Carlos (Sulema) Pena  and Jose Luis (Hermelinda) Pena both of Benavides, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday February 27, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas. Burial will follow at the Benavides Cemetery, Benavides Texas, with Military graveside services conducted by the United Veteran Burial Association of Alice, Texas. Mauro P.
