Alice, Texas - Elma E. Girodengo, 83 years old passed Friday, October 27, 2017 in an Alice hospital after a short illness. She was graduate of San Diego ISD and graduate of TWU in Denton, Texas in 1959. She taught at Brackenridge High School for two years and at Memorial Middle School for ten years. She later retired from Christian Jew Foundation in San Antonio after thirty years of service. Elma enjoyed traveling and reading and was a loving daughter, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bartolo and Maria Vela Girodengo, two-half sisters, Ofelia G. Garza and Berta Shulz and one- half brother, Victor Manuel Girodengo. She is survived by her sister, Edna G. (Manuel P.) Molina of Alice, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 9 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed with Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at New Collins Cemetery in Alice. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes, Inc. entrusted with arrangements.

Edna, my wife and I are currently in England—but I tried to call you just now to express my sadness at hearing about Elma's passing. She was an amazing lady and a valued colleague here at CJF Ministries. Our people here loved her. So sorry! Please let us know if there's anything we can do. God bless all of you!
