Alice, Texas David Cantu III, a young child 4 years of age born December. 17, 2013 passed away on July 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle to Cancer. David was a very strong brave boy during this battle, he never complained of pain. He loved helping his dad (Panfi) and mom doing yard work and being their little helper. He always looked forward to riding Tata lawn mower and tractor. During his short life, he touched the lives of everyone in a special way. David in preceded in death by his paternal grandfather David Cantu Sr., paternal great-grandparents Aurelio and Celia Trejo, maternal great-great-grandparents Florentino and Santos Benavides Sr., maternal great-great-grandparents Dario and Emma Reyes. Survivors include his Mom and Dad Ashley Ranae and David Cantu Jr., of Alice one sister Ashlynn Ranae Cantu of Alice, maternal uncle Brian Benavides of Alice, maternal grandmother Lisa Benavides of Alice, maternal grandfather Arnold Flores of Bishop, maternal great-grandmother Patricia (James) Huie of Spring Branch Texas, maternal great-grandfather Florentino Benavides Jr., of Alice, maternal great-grandparents Ismael and Cora Flores of Bishop, maternal aunts Angelica Flores and Alyssa Flores both of Bishop, maternal uncle Jaime Flores of Bishop, maternal great aunts Cindy B. Ortiz of Alice, Laura B. Delgado of Corpus Christi, maternal great uncle Rick (Ellie) Benavides stationed in Japan, paternal grandmother Celinda Cantu of Alice, paternal uncles Billy (Crystal) Trejo of San Antonio, Joshua Rios of Alice, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 5 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. that same evening. officiated by Pastor Eddie Smith of First Assembly of God Church. Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego and burial will follow at the Tractor Ride To The Happy Place Cemetery located at 4481 FM 625 Alice, Texas. All services officiated by Pastor Eddie Smith of First Assembly of God Church in Alice, Texas. Pallbearers : Billy Trejo, Joshua Rios, Brian Benavides, Florentino Benavides Jr., James Huie and Joe Garcia. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes entrusted with the arrangements.
