David A. Cisneros lost his long and courageous battle with cancer and gained his firefighter wings on August 26th, 2021, at the age of 68 surrounded by his loving family. David is preceded in death by his father Jose C. Cisneros. He is survived by his mother Elvira (Arriola) Cisneros, his loving wife of 44 years Cindy Garcia Cisneros, two brothers Jose Cisneros (Mary Cisneros), Ramon Cisneros, sister Nori Peterson (Mark Peterson), four sons & two daughters: David Gonzalez, Thad M. Cisneros, David M. Cisneros, & Chad M. Cisneros, Gloria Gonzalez Martinez (Aaron Martinez) & Reana M. Cisneros. Fourteen Grandchildren Kendra Estep, Andrea Gonzalez, AleSandra Zarate, Christian Zarate, Madison Embry, Gianna Cisneros, Thaddeus Cisneros, Luca Cisneros, Damien Cisneros, McKenzie Cisneros, Morgan Cisneros, Mileena Cisneros, Aiden Gonzalez, Greyson Valdez, Two Great-Grandchildren Rylin Estep, Nadia Renee Hernandez, and many special niece and nephews. David was a dedicated twenty-year veteran with the Alice Fire Department and an EMT. He was known to many as “Big Dave”, “Big Papa Pump” and “Popo Muscles” (just don’t call him sir)! He dedicated his little off time to his loving family. In his few spare hours, he enjoyed the body building lifestyle, and gaining the ever-watching eye and adoration of three generations. Spending as much time as he could at the gym staying as physically fit as possible. David loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, drag racing, and NASCAR, he was also a fan of competing in pool tournaments with the KC Hall family. He will be immensely missed by everyone who’s lives he touched. Services will be open to the public at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home - Alice from 10 a.m. -2:30 p.m. Monday, August 30th, 2021. A viewing will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass. Burial will be at New Collins Cemetery. Dinner will follow at St. Joseph parish hall. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes, Inc. entrusted with the arrangements Special thanks to Joey Campos with Allegiance EMS, Alice Fire Department, David, Christina, and Gaby with Healthy Horizons, also Amigos de Barrio (Gafa Santos), and his class of 71’ classmates. I had the honor of working with David back in 1991 while working at Brite Star. A great human being that will be dearly missed by all. My deepest Condolences to the Cisneros family.
