Cristina G. Gonzalez

Freer Tx - On July 22, 2023, Cristina (Kina) G. Gonzalez 80, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven. Cristina was born on December 15, 1942, in San Diego, Tx to Nicholas and Maria Gallegos. Cristina had a beautiful kindhearted soul and loved to share her belongings with everyone, she loved to pray for people, share joy and great wisdom to all. Cristina was a great example of God's purpose and faith, with her encouraging words she befriended everyone she spoke with. Her passion was giving happiness and spending time at the Freer Civic Center playing bingo and having a good laugh with friends. Her legacy and love will live on in the ones she left behind. Her virtues and prayers will carry on forever. Mrs. Gonzalez is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas Gallegos, and Maria Gallegos; Sister Panchita Arambula; Sister Delma Salinas; Sister Santos Reyna; Brother Mercedes Gallegos. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Baldemar Gonzalez; Sister Victoria Gonzalez; Son Baldemar Gonzalez Jr (Maria); Son Leandro Gonzalez; Son Adrian Gonzalez (Yesenia); Daughter Rosalinda Gonzalez; Daughter Ana Nora Whitfield (Danny); Daughter Delma Gutierrez (Jaime); Daughter Esperanza Kroetch (Travis); 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. A special thanks to the Falcon Lake Nursing Home and the Laredo Hospice for their love and care given to her. 

Visitations will be held on Thursday July 27, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday July 28, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Freer, Tx. Burial Freer Hahl Memorial Cemetery.
