![]() San Diego, Texas - Corando B. Perez, 85 years old passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 in an Alice hospital after a sudden illness. Corando served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1954 - 1957 where he was Honorably dischargedHe was a retired employee from Duval County having worked in Precinct 1 under Alejo Garcia. He enjoyed singing in church, gardening, scratching lottery tickets and was an Avid Baseball Fan. Corando was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas Perez, and Anita B. Perez, three sons, Tomas Perez, Ricardo Perez, and Jose E. Perez and all his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 56 years of marriage Guadalupe G. Perez, three sons, Roberto (Leila) Perez, Rolando (Adriana) Perez and Corando Perez, Jr., three daughters, Julie Saenz, Anna Lisa (Rudy) Sanchez and raised as a daughter, Monica (Leonel) Salinas, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers: Martin Saenz, Jr., Roberto Garcia, Jr., Leonel Munoz, Ernesto Maldonado, Tomas Perez, Raymond Perez, Jose Saenz & Benito Perez Visitation will begin on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 8 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego. A Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church followed by Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery in San Diego. Due to Covid-19 pandemic we will follow all CDC and Government guidelines. We ask to please wear a mask and social distance at the Funeral Home, Church, and cemetery. Mauro P.
