Alice Texas -Connie Rodriguez went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the age of 53. She was an active member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary for many years. Her Wednesday evenings were dedicated to working the kitchen at BINGO and sharing many laughs and memories with her VFW sisters. She was also a member of ACTS at St. Joseph Catholic Church, a devout Catholic who loved and served her God with her whole heart. She was an adoring grandmother with a heart of gold, her granddaughters were the light of her life. The memories her family will hold dear, is her love for making homemade tortillas, tamales and pan de polvo, as well as her aggressive Chalupa game play. She was quick to ensure that everyone played by the rules, no matter their age. She was a loving, forgiving, funny, humble, dependable and giving friend. When it came to matters of helping a friend in need, she didn't know what the word no was. She will dearly be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father Theodore Rodriguez, Jr.; maternal grandparents Guadalupe and Guillerma Valverde and paternal grandparents Teodoro and San Juana Rodriguez.

Connie leaves to cherish her memories, her loving daughter Erica (Dylan) Brown and granddaughters Emma Brown and Olivia Brown of Alice, TX, mother Irma Rodriguez of Alice, TX, one brother Theodore (Flor) Rodriguez, III of Kingsville, TX, 3 sisters Eliza (David) Noel of San Antonio, TX, Linda (Steve) Nuanes and Idolina (Salome) Salazar of Alice, TX, 8 nieces and nephews, David Hinojosa, Matthew Perez, Nicholas Smith, Brandon Hinojosa, Samantha Perez, Zachary Rodriguez, Brianna Rodriguez and Ilianna Rodriguez. Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles and great nephews and nieces and cousins.

Rosary will be recited at 1 pm on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice, TX. Funeral mass will be celebrated right after the Rosary. Services will conclude at the church.

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic we will be following all CDC and Government mandates and ask each guest to do so as well. We ask everyone to follow social distancing and wear masks inside the church. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes entrusted with the arrangements.

SERVICES HAVE BEEN CANCELED for 2/4/2021
