Carolina Vargas

​San Diego, Texas - Carolina Vargas, 74, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at a Corpus Christi Hospital after a sudden illness. Carolina was a retired LVN and worked at Alice P&S Hospital for many years, she was also a former business owner of Home Health Agency. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents Julian and Ignacia A. Flores, one sister Kenita Flores, and one daughter Marisa Vargas. She is survived by her Husband Alfredo Vargas, three sons Freddy Vargas, Tony (Summer) Vargas, Jose Luis (Daisy) Vargas, two daughters Sonia (John) Bleeker, Sandy (Guy) Covey, one brother Carlos (Mary Lou) Flores, three sisters Maria Elena Palacios, Esther (Juan) Everett, Brigida Quintanilla, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

​Visitation will begin on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 3:30 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego, followed by the burial at San Diego Cemetery, San Diego, Tx. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes, Inc. entrusted with arrangements.
