 La Rosita Community: Carmen A. Garcia, 87 years old passed away Saturday August 4, 2018 in a Corpus Christi Nursing Home after a long illness. She was married to Pedro A. Garcia for 35 years until he passed away in 1988. Carmen had worked at Dr.'s Hospital and continued after it became Humana for
many years. She enjoyed sewing for her girls before working also enjoyed crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents Severo and Agustina Serna Alaniz, her husband Pedro A. Garcia, one son-in-law Douglas Milczarek and one sister Anne Ebaben. She is survived by her son Omar Garcia of Covington, Va., two daughters Cynthia (Keith) Settle and Cora Milczarek both of Corpus Christi, Texas, one sister Sara Garcia of Freer, Texas, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Friday August 10, 2018 at 10 a .m. - 11 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 11 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery in San Diego,Texas. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes, Inc. entrusted with arrangements.
