San Diego, Texas - Aurora Francisca (Frica) Pizzini devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed into her eternal repose on Monday, April 3, 2023. She was born to Olivia and Edmundo B. Garcia on August 11, 1939. Frica, as she was known to all who knew her, spent most of her life trying to make a positive difference in the lives of those she touched. Mrs. Pizzini started her educational career at St. Francis de Paula catholic school in San Diego, Texas. She spent 8 years there. From 1953 to 1957 she was a student at San Diego High School. After high school, she went on to pursue her college training at Our lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated with a degree in Library Science in 1961. From 1961 until her retirement in 1995, she was an employee of the San Diego School District where she was a teacher and librarian. She lived a fruitful career having touched the lives of hundreds of students. during her years as an educator. Aurora is preceded in death by her husband Marty of 58 years. She is also preceded in death by her parents Olivia and Edmundo B, Garcia, Sr. Aurora is survived by her children Johanna (David) Canales, Luis(Gracie) Pizzini and Angelica(Vale) Valdez. Four grandchildren, Christine, and Zachary ( Pate) Pizzini, Edward Canales and AnnDrea Valdez and two great grandchild, Zachary Edmund Pizzini and Mason James Pizzini. Her brother, Edmundo B. (Rosa Maria) Garcia, Jr., one nephew Edmundo Noel (Yolda) Garcia, and two nieces Marissa (Tim) DePalma and Alissa (Tim) Neuman.
Visitations will be on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, @8:oo a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel - San Diego with a Rosary to be recited @10:00 a.m. at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church. Followed by Funeral mass. Burial at Garcia Cemetery at La Esperanza Ranch. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes Inc. entrusted with arrangements.
