San Diego, Texas - Arnoldo Tunchez, Sr. passed away Wednesday October 31, 2018 in an Alice Nursing Home after a short illness. He was a San Diego High School graduate, a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict, was an active member of the San Diego VFW Post 8931, was a former San Diego City Marshall for many years, was a retired material expeditor for the CCAD and an avid Vaquero fan. Arnoldo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother in law and uncle. He was known for his LOVE of lottery tickets, cigarettes and coffee. He was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Francisca A. Tunchez, one brother Alvezo Tunchez and one grandson John Tunchez. He is survived by his wife of 55 years of marriage Gloria B. Tunchez of San Diego, Texas, six sons Albeso B. (Dalayna) Tunchez of Ben Bolt, Texas, Arnoldo Tunchez Jr. of Alice, Texas, Adrian (Josie G.) Tunchez of San Diego,Texas, Abel (Roxanne) Tunchez of Alice,Texas, Alex Tunchez of San Diego, Texas and Amando (Joanne) Tunchez of Alice, Texas, two sisters Francisca Tunchez of San Diego, Texas and Lydia (Charles) Caldwell of Del Rio, Texas, Twenty grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Friday November 2, 2018 at 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday November 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego,Texas. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery with Military services to be conducted by the United Veterans Burial Association of Alice, Texas. Mauro P.
