My uncle Tony was born, raised, and married in San Diego. In his thirties, he became a Jehovah Witness. He made a lot of positive changes and volunteered a lot of his time encouraging the public to read their Bibles and draw close to Jehovah God.
I once asked him, why did you marry you wife, Cleme. He said, “Because she was so beautiful, I couldn’t help but love her.” See my uncle was a blessed man. He married a young lady that whole heartedly loved him. Clementina Camarillo Luera was always very kind to him. Together they had their 4 children. Tony Jr, Robert, Mary Jo and Frank. He wanted for them to love Jehovah. That was his wish for his kids, simply to love and obey Jehovah with all their being. He was always with his boys when his boys were young. To his dying day, he had a special place in his heart for his daughter, Mary Jo. He said he didn’t think he could love someone more than Mary Jo, until he met his grandkids. He said, some how he loved the grandbabies double what he had loved his kids.
He had a motto, “Luera brothers, all for one, and one for all.” Tony was one of 12 siblings. Grandpa Cenovio and Grandma Mere (Maria Perez) had 6 boys and 6 girls. When they were kids, one of siblings, Baleriano, died in North Texas. That death forever impacted their lives to this day. It caused them to look out for each other. Usually, if you saw Tony, you also saw at least one of his brothers (probably Joe, Sone, or Sal). Tony was ALWAYS joking around. He always worked. He was a jack of all trades from plumbing, welding, mechanic work, carpentry, he could do just about anything. He would just help you out. His house was your house and REALLY meant it!!!
Well, I am his niece and he was a second dad and a best friend to all of us. I miss him sooo much already. He was a true San Diego Vaquero. On his behalf of him, I would like to encourage each one of you to make some time and read your Bibles and draw close to God. Love ❤️ Sara Tijerina

Dear Luera Family,

Please receive our most sincere condolences.
Romans 8:22 says “All creation keeps groaning together and being in pain together” and those words are so true as we feel your pain in the loss of such a great brother and friend. May Jehovah give you the strength and comfort as you deal with this loss.
The pandemic doesn’t allow us to be with you physically but please know our hearts and prayers are with you.

Love,
Barrientos Briones Family

My deepest condolences to the Luera family. I was one Jr. Lueras' friends back in the day in the mid to late 70's. I miss my friends; I wish I could see them one more time to bid them adieu for now.
Once again must say I am truly sorry for your loss.

Respectfully,

My sincerest condolences to Clementina, and Tony's kids, grandchildren and the entire Luera Clan for this deep loss. He was my friend for only a little time but he made me feel like we had been buddies for years. I don't think I will ever throw a Super Bowl party again because they will never be the same without him, he was the party. He was a good man and the world is a darker place without him. I still can't believe he is gone. Please take care and God Bless.
