San Diego, Texas : Antonio P. Ibarra 79 years of age passed away on August 28,2018 at his residence. Antonio was an Army Veteran and served proudly during the Berlin Crisis. He was a Paint and Body Shop Owner in San Diego for many years. Antonio was also a Eucharistic Minister for the St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is preceded in death by parents Agustin Ibarra and Demetria Perez Ibarra, two brothers Jesus and Diego Ibarra. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Ofelia Sepulveda Ibarra of San Diego, two sons Luis Antonio (Rachel) Ibarra of North Richland Hills, Texas, Leonel "Leo" Angel (Vilma) Ibarra of San Diego, two brothers Guadalupe (Mary Alice) Ibarra of San Diego, Agustin (Josie) Ibarra of Houston, two sisters Ofelia I. Lichtenberger of San Diego, Carmen (Baldemar) Garcia of Houston, two special people he acknowledged as his daughters Lamar G. Vela and Isabel P. Moreno, two sisters-in-law Ninfa Ibarra of San Diego and Sylvia Ibarra of Houston, six grandchildren: Lyza Smith, Lucritia Ibarra, Travis Ibarra, Jose A. Trevino, Cesar R. Trevino and Laura Y. Trevino, two great- grandchildren Collins Faith Garcia and Anastasia Renae Trevino, numerous nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers: Travis R. Ibarra, Jose A. Trevino, Cesar R. Trevino, Brian Smith, Christopher Buentello and Noel Ibarra. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 30, 2018 from 5p.m. - 9 p.m.t Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday August 31, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church and interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes entrusted with the arrangements.
