San Diego Texas - Alfredo Vargas, 81 years old passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at his residence after a long illness. Alfredo was a retired Diesel Mechanic who had worked for Halliburton for many years, he enjoyed watching western movies and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolina Vargas, one daughter Marisa Vargas, two brothers Antonio Vargas and Raul Ramirez, two sisters Sylvia Garcia and Angelina Rodriguez. He is survived by his four sons Javier (Heidi) Vargas, Freddy Vargas, Tony (Summer) Vargas and Jose Luis (Daisy) Vargas, three daughters Sonia (John) Bleeker, Sandy (Guy) Covey and Mel Ledesma, two brothers Jose Luis (Gloria) Vargas and Francisco (Linda) Vargas, two sisters Marugenia (Juan) Perez and Guadalupe "Lulu" Casarez, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Wednesday September 8, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel - San Diego, followed by a funeral service also that same morning and burial at San Diego Cemetery, San Diego Texas, Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes Inc. entrusted with the arrangements. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we ask that you wear a mask at the Funeral Home, and Cemetery. Mauro P. Oh my God when it rains it pours. Sonia I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I can only imagine what you and the family are going through. My prayers and my condolences are with you all. Lord give them the strength as this family have suffered with pain. R.I.P Mr.Vargas.🙏🙏😥💔
