San Diego, Texas – Alexander Ray Guerra, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was born on March 23, 2005, to Crystal Garza and Mario Guerra Jr. in Alice, Texas. Alex was a graduate of the class of 2023. He was known to his friends as “Burger.” He was a sweet loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. The love he had for his mom and family was like no other, and he loved his friends just as much. He loved hanging out with his 15 homies (friends), always making little moments into big memorable ones. He will always be remembered for his big, kind, loving heart. Alex is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mario Guerra Sr., paternal great-grandmother Elvira Sanchez, aunt Leslie Silva Guerra, his maternal great-grandparents Gilberto and Rebecca Garza, Margarito, and Consuelo Maldonado Sr. He is survived by his mother, Crystal Garza, stepfather Paul Walker of San Diego, Father Mario Guerra Jr., sister Macy Guerra, half-brother Mario Guerra III, maternal grandparents, Reynaldo, Sr. and Elodia Maldonado Garza, paternal grandmother San Juana († Mario) Guerra. Uncles, Reynaldo (Chandra) Garza Jr., Mark († Leslie) Guerra, Michael Guerra, cousins Aiden, John, Maggie, and Carlie Garza, Marlie, and Marky Guerra. Always remember Alex by his life quotes and keep reaching for the stars. Active Pallbearers: Fabian Vidal, Michael Vidal, Andreas Gonzalez, Aidan Longoria, Justin Montemayor, Jaime Salinas, Nathan Sanchez, Ethan Sanchez, Rene Guerrero, Martin De La Torre, Rolando Garcia, Nathan Alfaro, Miguel Salinas, Colton Garcia, Lukas Salaiz, Louis Peña, Aiden Garza, and John Garza. Visitations will begin on Thursday June 1, 2023 at 3pm - 9pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday June 2, 2023 at 10am at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church. Burial San Diego Cemetery #2.
