Alice, Texas: Margarita Perales 91 years of age passed away on Sept. 23, 2019 at her residence in Alice, Texas surrounded by her family. She was a homemaker all of her life and raised her entire family. She loved playing chalupa with her family and loved visiting her friends at Mi Familia Adult Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and a friend to everyone. She is preceded in death by her husbands Camilo Lopez and Jose Gonzalez and brother Esiquio Mireles. Survivors include: one son David Reyes Perales of Laredo, and two daughters Ventura Lopez of Nuevo Laredo and San Juanita Gamez of Alice one brother Lucio Mireles of Laredo, three sisters Maria Mireles of Nuevo Laredo, Florentina Morales and Constantina Mireles both of Laredo, 15 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday Sept. 26, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home-Alice with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Friday Sept. 27, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery No. 2. Mauro P. In the early morning of September 16, 2019, in San Antonio Texas, Jesus Guillermo Vera, Sr., at 84, passed away. He joins his wife Manuelita in their heavenly home. His devotion to her, his family and firm belief in God brings comfort knowing they are finally together once again. Jesus “Jesse” was born in Benavides, Texas to Guillermo Vera and Antonia Garza Vera on July 14, 1935. His parents precede him in death along with his brothers, Gilbert Vera, Ramon Vera, Salvador Vera, and Pete Vera and three sisters: Hermelinda Garcia, Elvira Vera, Maria Barnett. In 1957, he married the love of his life, Manuelita Lopez on June 9. Together in life for 51 years until her passing in 2008. Together they had and raised three kids. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Garcia (Claudio) of Alice, Texas, Anggie Vera of Katy, Texas and his son, Jesse Vera, Jr. (Tracey) of McKinney Texas. Along with their parents to cherish his memory, there are six grandchildren, Richard Joslin (Victoria), Christopher Garcia, Robert Ian Davis (Stephanie), Michelle Coffey (Doug), Nicholas and Mallory Vera; four great grandchildren, Bryden and Maci Davis, Andriana and Ryan Joslin. He is also survived by his siblings, Jesus Vera (Lupita) of Palito Blanco, Texas, Bertha Soliz of Houston, Texas, Janie Lopez of Hebbronville, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews. Jesse began his career doing various jobs until he found his passion as a Foreman working for the Rio Paisano Ranch in Riviera, Texas. After 15 years of working at the ranch, he decided to hang up his hat and boots. But that didn’t last long, Jesse then decided that retirement was not for him and he began working for B&J Air and Pump, Alice, Texas where he worked for another 18 years and finally retired at the age of 80. Needless to say, Jesse was loyal to his wife, family, and employers. He gave 110% on everything that was put in front of him. He was a hard worker and we are blessed to have been shown how to be devoted to what you love and cherish most. Visitation will begin on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Mauro P. He was a retired Rancher and Ranch Foreman for over 50 years for Lundells, Inc. Ranch. He was a loving brother and uncle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Venancio, Sr. and Genoveva Diaz Longoria, his common-law wife, Cecilia Garza, one sister, Maria Enedina Deleon, two brothers, Venancio Longoria, Jr., and Mauricio Longoria. He is survived by his two brothers, Domingo (Lydia) Longoria, Sr. of Mathis, Tx., and Tony (Josie) Longoria of Houston, Tx., three sisters, San Juana (Alfredo) Garcia of Alice, Tx., Modesta (Eliseo) Quinones, Sr., and Lupita (Luciano) Suarez both of San Diego, Tx., one nephew that he loved as a son, David Longoria, numerous nieces and nephews. He was an oilfield worker. Ugo was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Amalia Rangel Perez. He is survived by his two sons, Guadalupe Jesus (Leeann) Perez and Ugo (Rashelle) Perez, Jr. both of Freer, Tx., two daughters, Newleen (Juan Vasquez) Perez of Houston, Tx. and Marleen (Alex) De La Garza of Freer, Tx., one brother, Erasmo (Sandra) Perez of Robstown, Tx., two sisters, Elda (+Cresencio) Acevedo and San Juanita (Rolando) Lerma both of Freer, Tx., fourteen grandchildren, Juan Moreno, III, Justin De La Garza, Guadalupe Perez, Jr., Kevin Perez, Alyjah Perez, Darian Torres, Jacob Perez, Luis Aguillon, Jr., Nateleen Serna, Abrian Torres, Audiah Perez, Andres Vasquez, Alejandro De La Garza, IV, Adelyn Perez, numerous nieces and nephews.
