 San Diego, Texas - Yolanda Cuellar passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the age of 82 surrounded by her loving family. Yolanda was born in Benavides, Texas to her mother, Beatrice Mireles and raised alongside grandparents, Roman and Romana Mireles. On June 3, 1959, she married her sweetheart Fidel Cuellar, Jr. They were wed for 41 years and went on to raise five children. Yolanda worked several years alongside her husband. She was a bookkeeper at Cuellar Lumber and Hardware. She also enjoyed gardening, crafting and shopping. She had a love for music and dancing. Humor and laughter followed wherever she went.
In her later years she spent most time with family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her longtime sweetheart, Cruz Torres. Yolanda is preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Mireles; husband, Fidel Cuellar, Jr.; sons, Roberto Rene Cuellar and Miguel Angel Cuellar; and grandson, Michael Angelo Cuellar. She leaves behind daughters, Gloria Garza Cuellar and Lora (Oscar) Garcia; one son, Eric Mark Cuellar; grandchildren, Joshua Cuellar, Sonja Garza, Jonathan Garza, Oscar Garcia Jr., and Ysela Garcia; and numerous great-grandchildren which she enjoyed and loved. Active Pallbearers: Family members Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service. Burial to follow at San Diego Cemetery No. 2. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes Inc., entrusted with arrangements.
