Samantha Lynn Hernandez

San Diego, Texas - Samantha Lynn Hernandez, 39 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving children in San Diego. She was born on July 30, 1986, in Galveston to Roel Hernandez and Raquel Perez Hernandez.

Samantha was a 2004 graduate of San Diego High School. She worked for San Diego Municipal Utility District No.1. from 2005 to 2012 and later worked for P&J Electric from 2012 to 2023. She was currently employed handling company invoices and payroll.

She was a loving daughter, devoted mother, caring sister, girlfriend, and treasured friend. Samantha especially enjoyed attending school activities and spending time with her three beautiful daughters, who were the center of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roel and Raquel Hernandez.

Left to cherish her memory is the father of her children and boyfriend, Michael Morris; her three small daughters, Mireyna A. Reyes, Raquel A. Morris, and Micaela J. Morris; one brother, Roel Hernandez, Jr.; two sisters, Cassandra (Michael) Rhodes and Lisa Hernandez; as well as three nephews and numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. that morning, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery.
