​​Alice, Texas - Matthew Ryan Sendejo, 27 years of age passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, after being involved in a truck/tractor trailer accident near Tilden, Texas. Matthew was energetic, spontaneous, and full of life. He lived life to the fullest. His children, Kimberly and Rylan were his world. He was an employee for Tornado Production Services, LLC. in Orange Grove, Texas. Matthew was a Firefighter member #1840 for 9 years with the San Diego Volunteer Fire Department. Matthew enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He always had jokes to say and was known to always put a smile on everyone’s face. He was a loving son, father, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all who knew him. Matthew will be remembered for his sense of humor and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Lucinda, and Pedro Sendejo.

Survivors include his son; Rylan Matthew Sendejo, Rylan’s Mom; Victoria Salinas, his daughter; Kimberly Marie Sendejo, Kimberly’s Mom; Valerie Cisneros, his mother; Monica Canales, his father; Luis R. Sendejo Sr., four brothers; Joshua (Ilene) Canales, Isaac Sendejo, Luis Sendejo Jr, Jason (April) Perez, three sisters; Vickie (Arnold) Amador, Melissa Sendejo, Sonia Sendejo, maternal grandmother; Angelica Cavazos, maternal grandfather; Justino Castro, numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego. San Diego Volunteer Fire Department Chief Juan Soliz is in charge of all honors ceremony immediately following the Mass across the street at the City Park.

Did not know this young man,but with that smile you could tell he was a very happy man full of life.RIP my friend.

Matt was a co-worker with me at Gladiator. He was one of the funniest guys we had and always kept us laughing. He was a hard worker and I considered him a friend. I’m sorry to hear what happened to him. Prayers for all his friends and family.
